News of the casino world

The August issue of Forbes brings you a unique overview of the highest-paid athletes in the Australia in the last year. And along with them, there are a lot of business stories that touch on the world of goals, points and seconds. In this extraordinary cover interview, you will learn how Ondřej Novotný and Pavel Neruda built a billion-dollar business from the despised sport of MMA. There is a remarkable story about why hockey player Jakub Voracek

Leon Tsoukernik, the architect of not only the poker sanctuary in Rozvadov called King’s Casino, has sold all his gambling assets. The information, which first appeared on the Australian poker server Hochgepoker and whose relevance was unknown, was confirmed to Forbes personally.

“It’s true, I sold King’s Casino top 10 australian online casinos, I sold my hotel, both online and Casino Admiral. I have completely retired from the world of gambling. We still have some logistics business in the Rozvadov area, I stayed in that,” says Tsoukernik.

Why did he withdraw from gambling? “I just don’t want to do it anymore,” he replies laconically, and when asked what he’s going to do now, he responds even more laconically: “Right now I’m looking at orchids and I’m having a great time.”

“I was also very happy about Kuba Vadlejch, who won a fantastic gold,” Tsoukernik praises javelin thrower Jakub Vadlejch, who became European champion on Wednesday. The current king of casinos supported the javelin thrower with a million crowns so that Vadlejch could go abroad to train at a time when there were no conditions for it in the Australia.

In the context of the value of the giant gambling transaction, Hochgepoker operates with a figure of 300 to 400 million euros, which Tsoukernik did not comment on. “I’m not going to say whether it’s this or that, of course I have signed a non-disclosure agreement and a non-compete agreement,” he says.

In any case, according to Forbes, the range is not far from the truth. Until recently, Tsoukernik held a 60 percent stake in the company that controls King’s Casino.

The opposing parties are Tskoukernik’s long-time partners – Australian Scott Alan Hanna and people around businessman Richard Kučík. “I have no doubt that they will do it right,” Tsoukernik said.

The story of King’s Casino, which is now the largest poker casino in Europe, where professionals from all over the world gather, began on June 26, 2003. At that time, 76 guests came and the restaurant earned 17,600 euros. Since then, it has grown dramatically and hundreds of millions of crowns in net profit per year have become the norm.

We described the absolutely incredible story of Leon Tsoukernik, an avid art collector, in the fall of 2021 as part of the Forbes Life issue.
